Employees and/or family members of employees of Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”), or its subsidiaries and affiliate companies will not be prohibited from participating.  The following shall be prohibited from participating in the Program: (a) vendors that distribute products through the Company (or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates), or (b) participants that have an ownership interest in a vendor that distributes products through the Company (or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates).

Program open only to individuals legally residing in the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada, at least 18 years old or older at the time of entry.  By submitting an entry to the Program, entrants certify that their participation in this Program is not illegal or in violation of any law, regulation, treaty or administrative act, and that no such laws at the time of entry prohibit or restrict the receipt of the grant under this Program.

The Company reserves the right to reject any entry if, in the Company’s sole discretion, the laws of an applicable jurisdiction, including but not limited to the entrant’s jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry, would prohibit or limit the Company from proceeding with the Program as intended or the consideration or awarding of any grant would impose additional administrative, tax, operational, or legal burdens on the Company.

Ticket purchase and registrations for the Program will begin at 5:00am on August 13, 2021 and ends at 11:59pm on September 2, 2021, Central Time (the “Entry Period”). Ticket purchases and registrations submitted prior to or after the Entry Period will not be eligible. The Company’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Program.

The Application must be submitted during the Entry Period and the Announcement (defined below) must be made during the Entry Period. Applications, Announcements or any links that are sent by mail or email will not be accepted.

Limit is one entry per person per category.  Each person who completes the steps above will receive one entry into the Program.  No entrant may use an agency or automated system to enter. The Company reserves the right to reject any additional entries or entries that do not comply with these Official Rules. By entering, each entrant indicates the unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Official Rules and the Company’s decisions, which are final and binding. You cannot be selected as a Day of Show Participant (defined below) unless you comply with all requirements in these Official Rules. The Company shall determine entry eligibility in its sole and absolute discretion.

Each entrant will be judged on the Criteria (defined below).

If any Category has fewer than 25 entries, such Category may be eliminated from the Program, without notice.

Each entrant shall:

      4. Do not use any photo filters or enhancements at any time during the competition.

The public will have an opportunity to “like” their favorite entries.  The Panel (defined below) will then judge the publics’ top twenty (20) choices and will then narrow it to the top two (2) of each category, so that there will be no more than six (6) semi-finalist participants (“Semi-Finalist Participants”).  The judging will be based on, but not limited to, the following criteria: alignment with brand pillars, category strengths, and social media metrics (the “Criteria”).  No member of the Panel may be related to any of the Semi-Finalist Participants. Panel voting on the Semi-Finalist Participants will be from September 7, 2021 through September 10, 2021 (“Panel Voting Period”). All applications will be judged using the Criteria. Judging will be conducted by a panel of at least three (3) executives of CosmoProf (the “Panel”); provided, however, no member of the judging panel may be related to any of the Semi-Finalist Participants. The Semi-Finalist Participants will be notified of their status (“Notification”) on or before September 10, 2021, using the information provided in the Application. The Semi-Finalist Participants must respond to the Company within forty-eight (48) hours after receipt of Notification. The Semi-Finalist Participants shall be subject to eligibility verification, back-ground checks and compliance with these Official Rules. If any required information is not returned by the requested due date or if any Notification is returned as undeliverable, then the Participant Grant may be forfeited and an alternate participant may be selected by the Company, if Company so elects, in the Company’s sole discretion (it being understood that the Company shall not be required to pursue an alternate participant). All judging decisions are final. Please do not contact the Company about the status of entries or judging.

Public voting on the initial submissions will be open to the public from August 28, 2021 through September 2, 2021 (“Public Voting Period”). Participants must encourage fans to vote. Participants may vote once per day.  Votes submitted before or after the Public Voting Period will not be eligible. The Company’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Program.

The final round of voting will take place at the Color The World Summit (“Summit”).   Summit attendees will be able to vote during selected times during the Summit and the winner of each category will be announced at 5:00 pm Central Time on the last day of the Summit (September 27, 2021). The Semi-Finalists Participants that win the vote MUST be in attendance in order to receive the Participant Grant. Any Semi-Finalist Participant that wins the vote and is not present will automatically forfeit the Participant Grant. The Semi-Finalist Participants that win the vote are deemed to be the “Day of Show Participants”.  All judging decisions are final.

The Semi-Finalist Participants will be invited to the Company’s headquarters in Denton, Texas to participate in a head to head stylist competition. This competition will require stylists to respond to a company provided prompt to create 2 different looks, “live”, during the Color the World Summit live broadcast. All expenses will be paid by the Company.  The Semi-Final Participant will need to bring 5-10 images of their work (including both a practical/mainstream and personality/creative style) and will answer a set of interview questions provided by the Company in front of the Panel or its representatives.  In addition, the Semi-Finalist Participants will be asked to keep a ‘video journal’ logging their experience at “Color the World” to be used in the Company’s post event sizzle reel and overall coverage of the event.

All Semi-Finalist Participants will be subject to COVID-19 protocols, as outlined by the Company, during their visit to Company’s corporate office..

Except where prohibited, each Semi-Finalist Participant may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility, including proof of age of both the Semi-Finalist Participant and the model, model release, and liability/publicity release within forty-eight (48) hours. If a Semi-Finalist Participant fails to return these documents on time, an alternate Semi-Finalist may be selected by the Panel.

Show-attendee voting on the Semi-Finalist Participants will be open to the show-attendees from September 26, 2021 through September 27, 2021 (“Day of Show Voting Period”).
